Is it Possible to Use PokerNow and Party Poker at the same time?

I have 8 tabled with both Party and Empire open at the same time before, but if I have Party open I cannot open PokerNow and vice versa. Is this a common problem? If so, what is the reason for it, and is there any way around it?
