AQo on a passive table, one cold caller
Hi,
First post in a long time. Be please gentle The hand was played at Interpoker 1/2. Have been at the table for something like three orbits. Has a couple of reads on a few players but not on the villian in this hand, he has done nothing to stick out so far and he has only been at the table for one orbit or so. The table as a whole is tight (exept for a couple of players) and passive. The hand is eight handed. Hero is UTG + 1 with A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. Pre flop UTG folds Hero raises 1 folds Villian cold calls Rest folds Flop J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (5.5 SB) Hero bets Villian calls To small pot to make this move (especially without backdoor flush draw)? I decided that the chances of me being ahead plus my chances to hit one of my overcards would make me call a bet. Since this table had been tight and passive I thought that if I was going to call I would be better of betting, giving him the option to fold. Turn T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3.57 BB) Hero checks Villian checks He didn't fold to my flop bet. Shoot again or try to see the river for free? I decided to check/fold. River Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3.57 BB) Hero bets Villian raises Hero calls I hit one of my overcards so I bet out. Weak call of his raise? |
