Default Re: The Official KotZ #1 NLHE Thread

Nice work, Simon. I especially like the SD ratings, since they bump me up 5 places when contrasted to the official ratings (where I somehow dropped out of the top 10. Bugger! /shakes fist).

My SD Rankings incorporate the result of every event you enter, whereas the Official Rankings count the best 12 results from a possible 18 events.

I think I have seen some people ask how the scoring system works, here is the explanation I have posted on the website, which I hope will clear things up for those who don't know how it works:

King of the Zoo Ranking Points: Each player receives two sets of points in each tournament they participate in. The percentage of the field each player beats is multiplied by a 100 to create their Rank Points. They also receive a value based on Poker Stars TLB system, Stars Points, which is dependant on how many entries there are and how much the buy-in is. All players finishing in the money receive 100% of that value, the remainder of the field earning 50%. The two figures are then added together to create their Total Ranking Points.

The best 12 results from the 18 tournament calendar will count towards each
players ranking. Any player who participates in 13 or more events can discard
their worst results.
