in fact in argos (family catalogue shop for you americans) you can buy a fairly good set of chips (actual clay chips form what ive heard) for 30 quid. the worrying thing is the suitable for ages 6+ label, but start em young i say.

For americans, Anyone near a Costco store (and has or knows someone who has a costco card), they're selling a really nice looking poker set pretty cheap - 11.5g chips/cards/dice/case.
