Foxwoods $50-$100
I was playing tight (huh?) and hadn't played a hand in literally 2 hours. I posted blinds and that was pretty much it. A loose aggro kid (LAK) open raised in LP and I 3-bet with 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] in the CO. We took the flop headsup. The action went like this:
Flop: Check, bet, call. Turn: Check, bet, call. River: Check, bet, think-think, "Do you have ace king?", "Probably", fold. The very next hand LAK raised and I 3-bet again, but this time with 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. The SB (an older gentleman that likes to play and was pretty timid), BB (an asian gentleman that has taken 3 or 4 beats in a row and seems to be at wits end) and LAK called. FLOP: 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Everyone checked to me and I monologue, "I read a book that told me to bet this flop." Everyone called. TURN: A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] SB checked, BB bet, LAK folded. Your decision. ~stephen |
