Default Putting Slansky\'s ideas to work

In Why are Easy games Hard? by David Sklansky , Mr. Slansky says to "play more longshot draws if you are drawing to the nuts or near it."

Does this mean loosening pre flop (say from 18-20% VP$IP to 25). Or Does it mean chucking some marginal high card hands Say A To or J Qo and playing more suited connectors?

Does it just mean that if you call with your normal hands and have a longshot draw to the nuts, you should be more willing to play it?

Or am I just not getting it at all?
