HoH Vol 2 SHAL
I just read the Structured HAnd Analysis in HoH, Vol 2. Good approach.
If you have read it, he analyzed an all-in move with a T8o with 4 players yet to act. (All players have fairly low M's). He assumed 2 were tight, 2 were loose, with the loosest guy calling your all in with any 2 pair. Since the analysis showed a slight profit on average, H concluded that T8 was also close to the lower limit where you could make this play profitably - GIVEN his assumptions. A second takeaway implied though is that if all 4 players were tight - defined by H as only calling with AA-QQ, AK - then any 2 cards would show a profit there, since a 42o is just as good against THOSE HANDS as a T8. It's just the range of playable hands by the loose players that makes you raise your standards for going all-in. Agree? |
