I might be WAAAAAY off base here...
The other night I'm playing at 1/2 UB when all of a sudden I'm dealt
2 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 10 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] in an early to middle position. I threw it away as fast as my little hands could get to the button. I don't think I've ever played trips in my life, I wasn't going to start now with this miserable hand. Then...I started to think about it while I watched the play unfold. What if I raised instead. Hmmm. I'm representing the A 2 which surely, it is very unlikely anyone has. What if I changed the 10 to an 8 or lower? Would that make it more appealing to anyone so that when the low does come, then it's not a complete bluff. 2 2 2 3 becomes a very powerful raising hand. Ok, I still probably don't try it unless I'm in late position with no limpers ahead of me. I am perfectly willing to hear from everyone that this is the craziest thing ever. Just thinking out loud.
