Re: Tourney Granny
Always lucky and good?.
I've been trying to emulate your OIC performance at my own pace (i.e.: doubling up every 100 BBs instead of every 50 BBs), and well... I have been a LOT slower (still 1-2 after a week, hopefully 2-4 this week). Any more suggestions for beginners?. I tried the "weak tight" thing and it worked sometimes. My results are better at 6 handed tables than full rings. Do you live from poker swordfish?.(This rings in my head ALL day: 6 doubles, 36 hours, 6 doubles, 36 hours...LOL). Thanks and best regards. |

Re: Tourney Granny
You can almost picture Player F's anger at missing out to what he thinks is a suspect play. He sends an irate email to the bods in support, and receives the following reply:
Dear Player, Whilst we can understand your disappointment at missing out in the tournament, what you witnessed was in fact a classic example of a Granny Mae being played to perfection. We suggest that instead of reacting so angrily, you should instead admire the beauty of a GM played so well. Regards, Support bod Simon |

Hi Baulucky -
[ QUOTE ] I tried the "weak tight" thing and it worked sometimes [/ QUOTE ] I hope you didn't misunderstand my OIC post. I wasn't trying to promote weak/tight play. I was just making a point that under certain conditions, such as the short bankrolled OIC, it can save you a few bets. Your goal should be to play a tight/aggressive game. [ QUOTE ] This rings in my head ALL day: 6 doubles, 36 hours, 6 doubles, 36 hours...LOL) [/ QUOTE ] Obviously these results are not typical. It was a great run helped out by some good cards and a few weak players. SF |

Re: Tourney Granny
Thank you Lori and Simon.
[ QUOTE ] You can almost picture Player F's anger at missing out to what he thinks is a suspect play. [/ QUOTE ] I figure he has already started a thread on RGP about how Party is fixed because I knew what cards were coming. SF |
