c-bet bluff defense?
1/2, two callers, i raise with AKo in BB, both call. flop is Q74 with two hearts. i c-bet and get raised, fold, then i fold.
question: is this sometimes a bluff raise by him if he knows i'm c-betting (it's something he would expect)? is there anything i can do about it? it's hard to find evidence since he doesn't show his cards. |

Re: c-bet bluff defense?
where did the other guy go? i think it's heads up..?
you're getting about 9:1 or so and he may take a free card on the turn.. i'm calling unless the guy is super tight passive preflop and doesn't raise AQ/KQ. |

Re: c-bet bluff defense?
don't fold, you have odds of 9:1 to call...you have two overcards and a backdoor straight draw. Call and reevaluate on the turn. Since you're out of position, you may have to fold the turn.

Re: c-bet bluff defense?
I'm not sure what happened to the other guy in your situation, but it looks like you're getting at least 9:1 at decision time. I find that a flop c/r in this situation usually means just a pair (which you may have 6 outs against). It could also be a flush draw who will take a free card on the next street.
I think it's worth peeling one off here and reevaluating on the turn. |

Re: c-bet bluff defense?
i see that now - he's not between you guys though. he's last to act, and the guy acting right after you raised the flop. but yeah, call this.
