KK with an AAK flop
I've been at this table about 10 minutes, very typical loose-passive. There is one LAP, the BB on this hand, for whom I have one note: "LA idiot". I guess this hand is about whether to trust your player notes.
Party Poker 0.50/1 (9 handed) Hero has K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] and is MP3 EP1 limps, MP2(poster) checks, Hero raises, Button calls, SB folds, BB calls, EP1 calls, MP2(poster) calls Flop(10 SB): A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] BB bets, EP1 folds, MP2 folds, Hero raises, Button calls, BB 3-bets, Hero caps, Button folds, BB calls Turn(16 BB): Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] BB bets, Hero raises, BB 3-bets, Hero caps, BB calls River(24 BB): 7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] BB bets, Hero raises, BB 3-bets, Hero caps, BB calls I put him on Ax. I figured if he had A-face card, he'd have reraised preflop. In a way, the 7 was actually more of a scare card than the queen. Capping on every street was maybe a little excessive, but should I slow down at some point with, let's see, the 5th best hand? Results to follow. |

Re: KK with an AAK flop
I sure would slow down - if it's one thing these guys don't toss it's an Ace ANYTHING!
The pot is big enough and your not going to drive him out by raising. |

Re: KK with an AAK flop
right, but I'm ahead of Ax. If he's got Ax, he's drawing to a hand. And if he had AK or AQ, I'm pretty sure he would have let me hear about it pre-flop.

Re: KK with an AAK flop
very true. He only has a 109-1 chance he has AA. Perhaps it's MY problem with worry (see the thread belore you).

Re: KK with an AAK flop
well, if the guy wasn't listed in my notes as "idiot", I certainly would have slowed down. But he was on the big blind, and I was able to pokertracker him as a big losing player.

Re: KK with an AAK flop
Would it be all that wrong to call his 3-bet at the flop, to extract more money from the button?
On the river I might`ve just called him considering the action on the turn. I think I would`ve just called the BBs bet on the flop, to lure in more people into the pot. I mean, you do have the third best hand at the flop, and you`re VERY likely to hear from AA pre-flop, regardless of position. |

Re: KK with an AAK flop
When the two players between BB and I folded, I figured it was a question of extracting the most bets from this guy.

RESULTS:
Results. You're not going to believe this:
I won, with a pot of 26.5 BB. He didn't show his cards, but hand history revealed he had J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. Ludicrous. He's now my favorite idiot. |

Re: RESULTS:
Well - he probebly had you on 2 pair or trips and pot odds (because you kept raising) had him thinking that (if he WAS thinking) he had to call.
Bad move -good job! |

Re: RESULTS:
And the question of the post was whether or not to trust your notes? Looks obvious to me.
