Re: Gigabet making a run at Bellagio ME

Re: Gigabet making a run at Bellagio ME
Giga is now the chipleader with almost twice as much as 2nd place. ITM now.
Thanks to this hand : Darrell "Gigabet" Dicken raises preflop, Patrik Antonius reraises, and Dicken calls. The flop comes Js-7d-5d, Dicken bets out, and after a long period of thought, Antonius moves all in. Dicken immediately calls with 7c-5h (two pair). Antonius shows Kd-Jd (pair of jacks, flush draw), and he has a ton of outs to win this hand. The turn card is the 9h, and the river is the As. Antonius fails to improve, and Darrell Dicken doubles up in the biggest pot of the tournament to about $885,000 in chips. Antonius took a huge hit on that hand, but he still has an above-average stack of about $412,000 in chips. But Darrell Dicken is the new chip leader! - So, we're playing 75o OOP against a chipleader PF re-raise close to the bubble with the 2nd biggest stack at the tourny. Gotta love his game. |

Re: Gigabet making a run at Bellagio ME
Antonius is a favorite on that flop right? 14 turn outs, 17 river outs? Gigabet only has 4 redraw outs. What a hand.

Re: Gigabet making a run at Bellagio ME
We gotta know more about the bet sizes to get a better idea, but Antonios' flop raise was a huge, huge overbet I believe.

[/ QUOTE ] We don't know darrell's image or patrik's image (though I have heard that Patrik is one of those Scandinavian laggish mofos), so it is a little hard to stick PA on a hand range given the flop push. However, logic would say he either had a big draw or a pair plus draw, something weak @ SD but with huge FE on the flop. I bet KJs was about the best hand DD was expecting to see, no? |
