Re: 25/50NL Three Handed Hand on UB
Thanks. So far, not a lot of commentary on the hand. Anything?

If the button is tricky why didn't the alarm bells go off when he smooth called you post flop?

Re: 25/50NL Three Handed Hand on UB
If I broke some rule I am unaware of, apologies.
I am sorry if this came off as a bad beat post, I really was not thinking of it that way. I was asking if anyone would have tried to check it down after the flop action given the board or given information about strassa. Or, is it just obvious that I was crushed on this hand and that's that. |

Re: 25/50NL Three Handed Hand on UB
Difficult situation, and maybe the smooth call should have set off alarm bells.
My thought process at the time was, if I check he is going to bet for sure and it's not going to be a small bet, so I am going to either fold or end up getting all my money in. So I thought like this: The flop is 7-9-T 1) he cannot possibly have J-8, 7-9 or 7-T 2) maybe he has 9T 3) he could easily have JQ, QK, 88 or even AK given his style I screwed up check-raising so little, Thoughts? |

Re: 25/50NL Three Handed Hand on UB
I was just fing w you.
I'm surprised he would call your reraise with that cheese, but most hands that call that flop bet after that PF action have you in trouble. I guess JJ or 88 could be possible given PF action, and I probably check turn and reevaluate, but I'm probably losing a fair amount of money on the hand too. |

PFM,
I am surprised you did not include 77, 99, TT in your analysis. As for your thought process and action, well, I don't really get it at all. |

Re: 25/50NL Three Handed Hand on UB
Diablo: My basic question is this. Had you been in this situation, when he called your check-raise on the flop, do you put him on a hand that beats you or do you think he is drawing? If you think he is drawing, what can you bet on the turn?
I had 3K left and my thought was that he is going to bet to a check on the turn whether or not he is drawing and I need to bet at least 1/2 my remaining stack to have any chance to prevent him from continuing to draw, but with a 7-9-T flop he probably has more than the usual eight outs, so to really make the price wrong we are talking a 2K bet at which point I might as well move in. Given his style of play I leaned toward his not having a made hand. Was this a mistake? Any thoughts? Any at all? |

PFM,
"I had 3K left and my thought was that he is going to bet to a check on the turn whether or not he is drawing ... I might as well move in." Still don't get it. |
