Yuck. No reads? I'm likely folding.

Re: This turn made me throw up in my mouth
any reads/stats on BB?
think he'd call a pf raise with xhxh or rags that flop a straight draw? mightve hit a set as well on the flop. his 1/2 pot bet seems pretty weak, but he could just be trying to pump up the flop. you also have to consider a high xhxx for the four flush and maybe a pair to go along with it. too many unknowns with any idea who we're going up against. |

Time to fold, there are better places to make a stand without a read.

folding > calling > raising ?
I hate to let him bluff me off with a less than half pot bet here... but if you call, you might well have to call another bet on the river too. meh, this turn sucks a lot. Gotta fold though, unless you have a read that he could bluff scare cards. |

Re: This turn made me throw up in my mouth
yuck, fold. Without a read I assume most players aren't sophisticated enough to bluff 1/2 pot at a scare card on the turn since they realize it looks like they're drawing.

Re: This turn made me throw up in my mouth
I often look at plays like this as a reraise on the flop. If he had reraised you $10 on the flop what would you have done? By calling and then leading out on the turn, this indicates that he can beat a pair of Kings, or he has at least AK, either way you are beat. If he is making a move on you it's just a helluva play, but if he is, you will catch him later. This is where I stuggle a bit--having the patience to wait to pick someone off later who I suspect might be stealing from me.

Alright, it looks like people think I should have folded, but here's what I did, what happened, and why I did it.

Final Pot: $53.25 Results in white below: No showdown. Hero wins $53.25. I decided to minraise the turn because I think that there was enough of a chance that villain was doing this with KJ, KT or KxX[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] that my hand was good fairly often, and so I wanted to get this to showdown. I decided that minraising the [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] on the turn would be the best way to do that because if villain had 2 pair or a set and I was on the draw, I just got there and he might go into check/call mode. Another important factor that I considered were the stack sizes. After the minraise, villain had $25 left behind, which, even though I'd be getting terrific odds, was enough that I could lay it down to a push. |

Re: This turn made me throw up in my mouth
Raise more on the flop, make it 12 to go. What would you do if he called you and bet like 10 on the river? Why not just call him on the turn, I dont know if the minraise gets you to showdown any cheaper than the minraise does.
