1000 CAPACITY POKER CHIP CLEAR ACRYLIC CARRIER
Has anyone purchased one of these from plegend (or other supplier) on ebay? If so, please provide a report on the quality of this item.
I purchased 1000 chips from plegend last year that came with an aluminum case that was a piece of crap. Within a few weeks, the handle broke off and the case crashed to the ground and was destroyed. Will this item carry the weight of 1000 chips without destroying itself? ebay link to this item |

Re: 1000 CAPACITY POKER CHIP CLEAR ACRYLIC CARRIER
I bought one from him 3-4 months ago and it has held up fine. I haven't found anything wrong with it. Yes it is a little heavy when filled with chips, but the case as held up well for me so far. I hope this helps.

They hold up really well. I'm pretty sure that is what casinos use, though they may have a different brand.

Re: 1000 CAPACITY POKER CHIP CLEAR ACRYLIC CARRIER
OK here’s the big down side to these acrylic carriers… they break and dump your chips all over the floor
I bought one and it came broken. Upon examination the centerboard with the handle is just butt glued to the base so the entire weight of the chips, carrier and cover combined is on that single glue joint. If you look at the ones in casinos, the centerboard and base are wood and they are both glued and screwed together. If you are careful, the acrylic ones should be OK but to be sure I drilled 3 holes in the bottom after I glued mine back together and put in 3 screws for peace of mind. |

I bought the same case w/ a 1000 set of NexGens about 6 months ago. I later added 200 more chips to the set. I have had no problem carrying 1200 chips in 12 trays in the carrier, at least not thus far.
