Playing NL against a maniac - Hand analysis
6 players, NL $50 BB.
I have only seen villian play 8 hands, 5 of which he saw the flop, 3 of which he saw the river. Two hands ago, villian tripled up after hitting a gutshot Q-high straight on the river. Prior to that he won a pre-flop all-in with his 66 outdrawing KK when a 4-flush hit the board. Villian, on the button has $11,293. Hero, in the BB, has $1,820. All fold around to button who raises pot-sized to $125. SB Folds. BB, Hero, holds J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] and calls $75. Flop T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Villian checks. Hero bets $200. Villian calls, pot now $675. Turn T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Villian checks. Hero bets $500. Villian calls, pot now $1675. River T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Villian goes all-in, pot now $2670. Hero has $995 left and calls. |

Re: Playing NL against a maniac - Hand analysis
Preflop, QJ is not an easy hand to play postflop out of position unless you flop something amazing, like here.
Postflop, hero flopped a monster, bet every chance he got and called an all-in where he is probably best, getting 2.5:1. Analysis: routine. |
