Re: Preflop play in a DeepStack tourney on Stars
He may steal, but if not, you are in trouble.
If he steals, you will win his 750 plus the blinds, if not, you will likely loose much more. Think about what flop you will like??? Rags : No Acexx : Not if he bets or raise Jxx : Yes (could be against QQ,KK or AA) I fold for sure because I'm out-of position, being the Dealer, I would call if he his the CO. A raise makes the pot too big with a marginal hand hard to play. Deepstack doesn't mean you can play medium hands but that you can play more drawing hands. I would prefer a call with 89s. |

Re: Preflop play in a DeepStack tourney on Stars
So you just started hour 2 of a Deep stack tourney. You have plenty of BBs with which you can find much easier decisions to make....i don't think a fold is weak at all at this level with your stack. If the blinds are 1000/2000 we have a different stroy, but this is a rather easy fold here.
