Allin on the nut flush and gutshot broadway draw
Hello all! I'm still trying to get a handle on when I should get it all in. How's my line here?
The preflop raiser is a very loose raiser, raising almost 46% of his hands. Was my smoothcall here ok? Should I have repopped him preflop? $25 PL Omaha Hi/Lo - Monday, November 14, 22:15:52 EDT 2005 Table Table 66148 (Real Money) Seat 4 is the button Total number of players : 10 Seat 1: flynnmclean ( $24.40 ) Seat 2: mattspker ( $27.55 ) Seat 3: Tooco19 ( $14.52 ) Seat 4: JDLade ( $15.52 ) Seat 5: markmark329 ( $23.90 ) Seat 6: larry1960 ( $199.83 ) Seat 7: KR_Poker ( $88.13 ) Seat 8: Hero ( $23.16 ) Seat 9: ADRIATICFSH ( $37.65 ) Seat 10: nonpoisonous ( $19.60 ) markmark329 posts small blind [$0.10]. larry1960 posts big blind [$0.25]. ** Dealing down cards ** Dealt to Hero [ 7d Qs 2h Ad ] >You have options at Table 66007 Table!. Re: Allin on the nut flush and gutshot broadway draw
You will usually have 45% equity on this flop which is correct pot odds to call heads up, but you shouldn't raise. You actually want more callers.

OK along that line, on what type of flop SHOULD I pot it in this scenario? How about a flop with a low draw present, since some donkeys might call chasing just the low? |

Re: Allin on the nut flush and gutshot broadway draw
There is no wrong way to play nut low draw nut flush draw apart from checking.
You pot if the pot is small and a big bet will get multiple callers, else you make a smaller bet to coax more along. You pot if the pot is big since anyone with a piece will call anyway. You call if someone else pots before you. Out of position I would be more tempted to make a small bet, which will get callers and hopefully someone from late position will raise. This then gets more dead money in the pot. If you just pot from early then it might make people fold who would otherwise call then fold anyway to the reraise (putting more dead money in the pot). you are happy shoving no matter how many callers, however you do want more dead money if possible. |
