100% read dependent i guess based on that maniac. i wouldn't have done this but if you're confident in the guy have AK i guess it's worth a shot.

I think I might fold that river unless you've actually seen this guy bet A high on a missed board on the river. I don't think 2.2 is a high enough AF to assume he's betting overs or AJ high or something on that river. especially since you led into a pretty much drawless board on that flop.

I don't think 2.2 is a high enough AF [/ QUOTE ] Actually, with a VPIP of 64, that's a very aggressive AF. I think this hand is played fine. |

[/ QUOTE ] Random $10/20'ers bet this river with anything they'd bet the turn with. Which includes hands we beat. You'll get run over big time if you count on people checking behind with no pair hands / middle pair here. Besides AF 2.2 is sky-high for a 62 guy. As for the hand. Those loose calls are a money burner unless you know your limp will spark a chain reaction of limping. I probably call down too here, but i'm not happy about it. |

It looks good to me.
Preflop, I would want this Villain to isolate me. I wouldn't have been so happy to see Button and BB come along, but then you were able to get heads-up on the flop. I think that's a good result. The turn card isn't my first choice, but I wouldn't fold to the semi-maniac on just a queen. His aggression factor is way too high for his VP$IP, and I'd be looking to go to showdown. |

[/ QUOTE ] Yeah, I was merely stating my experience, not trying to put you down. My advice usually blows but I try to make some posts anyway to test my ideas and thinking. By all means continue to post in hands of stakes you don't play. We all learn when we discuss hands, even at stakes we don't normally play. |

This thinking is a little backwards because we already have the knowledge of the maniac raising preflop in this particular hand, but what do people think of raising light preflop (66 fits this) in an attempt to get isolated (3-bet) by the maniac? This guy is going to make up a significant part of your profit at this table so getting into as many hands as possible with this guy is ideal right?
