NFL2k was just a total eye opener. NBA was meh. NHL was gah. Never played SimCity.

I will agree NFL2K had the biggest impact on sports gaming because it was a wake up call to EA that they needed to keep being proactive with Madden and that it couldnt just sit around and always be #1 without making improvements. NHL was a great game as well, but Sim City didnt become GREAT IMHO until 3000.

You forgot that Sid Meiers game company is 2K games, so that would make my favorite Pirates! Garrr!
