Port Scans
My firewall blocked a 'port scan attack' every 4 minutes while I was playing on PokerPlex. I shut down Plex and the attacks end. Is this the site attempting to access something benign on my puter? The TCP ports were 5001 - 5004 FWIW scanned from a listed IP address.

Re: Port Scans
Probably.
if you use the command netstat from the dos command console you can see which applications are using which ports. Usually port scans run over a rather larger range of ports that that. |

Re: Port Scans
Probably not. Your firewall is probably being overzealous in it's detection of port scans. Since it sounds like PokerPlex is using "odd" ports (5001-5004) that may be falsely detected as a port scan.
At any rate, a port scan by itself is harmless. If you open a command window and run the command "netstan -an", you'll be able to see which ports are listening. If when you run PokerPlex, ports 5001-5004 are listening, you may want to email PokerPlex support and ask them why. |

Re: Port Scans
The cryptos last update included a change in their application upgrade process... UA.exe is now triggering firewall issues.
