I was wondering what a good bankroll would be for shorthanded turno SnGs.
I usually play the $10+1 and first place is $35 and second is $15. |

To be a small bit helpful to the OP since shorthanded tournaments aren't usually discussed...
Use the payouts to calculate the standard deviation. Just use a flat finish distribution or something close to it. Then pick a $/tourn you like for yourself, and do a risk-of-ruin (ROR) calculation for a ROR you don't mind accepting. ROR=EXP((-2*$/tourn*bankroll)/(StDev^2)) |

A couple hundred should be fine.
And i'd like to appologize for the jerks in my forum, they seem to feel that typing out 20 condescending words is better than typing out 20 helpful words. It makes them feel good. |

I think you know it is hard for someone to miss:
"READ THIS BEFORE POSTING: FAQ" It seemed clear that the OP hadn't read the response to this question in the FAQ. I thought a condensed amount of helpful words would be to suggest he delete his redundant post (so people will leave the thread alone) and go read the FAQ (so he can get a 350 word answer to his question). I realize this is inevitable with an internet forum, but it seems like 80%+ of the posts in our forum are very redundant. I think being a "jerk" when responding to these same old questions shows appreciation to those who have worked hard to prevent these questions from filling up page 1 of the forum. |
