JJ quandry
2/4 Party. Tight aggressive game for the most part. A couple loose donks make it a decent table.
I get J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] EP loose limper, MP raises folded to me on the button. I raise it up. It's folded to the limper who calls. MP caps. I call. The flop comes Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Limper checks. MP bets. Hero?? |

Re: JJ quandry
I like raise/call down.
I so desperately want this pot HU. |

Re: JJ quandry
Hero raises. It's still too early in the action to turn passive, there's a good chance he has AK or maybe even TT or AJ.

Re: JJ quandry
I like-a da flop raise. Trying to fold limper, put MP back on his heels.

Re: JJ quandry
I also like a flop raise, followed by calling down.
If MP's preflop raising/capping range was AA-QQ and AK, then you are ahead of him 16 times compared to behind 15 times. Also although it would be nice to have EP padding the pot, your hand is vulnerable to flush and straight draws and overcards. So, if a flop raise enables you to play the rest of the hand HU against MP, you will then be able to call down from there. |

And he probably recognizes that you're a decent player? So, when he bets into you, the BEST you're looking at is probably A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] in his hand? And EP might raise if you call, since he matched his QT? Run. |

Re: JJ quandry
I didnt realise that this was a play along.
Anyway as there are now 8 BB in the pot and you have 6 outs to improve, I would call the turn bet. I would not risk driving out EP, or getting 3-bet by MP, by raising. |
