AL Serieses
I know thats not a word
But I decided to look something up. What has been the series by series success of the AL playoff teams this season? It was pretty much what I thought it would be. Chicago won 63% LA Angels won 60% NYY won 54% Boston won 53% Interesting that the 2 teams that actually won 60% of their series are only supposed to win 40% of the time according to the lines and that the teams that only won 53/54% of their series are supposed to win at least 60% of the time (on the road no less). Maybe I need to go take some refresher math courses? Things just don't seem to add up |

I am a novice bettor and probably won't bet much over the years, but I really feel like I'm getting amazing lines for the baseball playoffs. I have... ChiSox win ALDS (+139) $10 Angels win ALDS (+150) $10 Neither Red Sox or Astros win World Series (-120) $100 |

Re: AL Serieses
Harold Reynolds saying the Red Sox and Yankees will both win their series in 4 games.. Im going to bet against that and have taken
LAA +140 to advance CWS +129 to advance I like these bets to atleast give me +0.29 here. A Red Sox/Yankees ALCS would be fun to watch though. |

Re: AL Serieses
I need to send every talking head on ESPN a case of beer or something for making handicapping baseball so easy after they get done spewing their thoughts to the public. The constant bias skews things in a very positive way for me.
If Joe Sixpack watches enough ESPN he knows that Boston and New York are vitual locks and only some sort of freakish occurance could possibly alter the carved in rock outcome. |

Betting against the TV pundits is a staple of any successful sports bettor. On a related note, The Padres are +325 vs. the Cards. Despite their strong finish and success this season against St. Louis, an ESPN analyst predicted a sweep for STL. Any value betting the Pads here? |

Any value betting the Pads here? [/ QUOTE ] Absolutely but I almost choked this morning when ESPNs Buster Olney actually predicted a SD win of the series. Very un-espnlike! StL's pitching is worn out right now. Lotsa value on SD at this price. 300+ means total domination and there is no such thing in baseball. |
