Commerce 20-40
folded to mp who limps, I raise on the button with JJ, SB 3 bets (kinda aggro but not insane will raise any PP down to 99 AK AQ etc. PF), BB (really bad player) calls, MP folds, I call, flop 268 rainbow, SB bets BB calls I raise SB 3 bets, the 3 bet tells me Im probly beat, I then go into check call mode. Would it be better to fold? take the weak check call route? or continue to press? is there really any +ev way to play these types of hands? thanks |

if the player is capable of 3beting a worse hand ont the flop than yours here i like 4 betting the flop... otherwise fold ui on turn.

I assume BB folded. I think folding is out of the question. You beat a lot of hands given the action so far (A8, 99, 1010, and any overcards). given the player you described, I would just call down. if the player had a wider range of hands, I would probably 4-bet the flop and go from there. even an overpair would take concern that you hit a set.. and it gives you some more options on the later streets.

you can't fold, and although i wouldn't yet be convinced that I'm beat by his 3bet I like your play, its standard to me as well. Might as well induce as many extra bluffs as possible. Not much else can be done in these pair over pair spots, but in the long run you will be on the losing side of these situations just as often as you will be on the winning side.

Based on player descriptions I think not capping preflop is pretty bad.

Based on player descriptions I think not capping preflop is pretty bad. [/ QUOTE ] Definitely is and the rest of the terrible players make it a pretty easy one. |

fourbet PF or fourbet flop. if you get CRed on the big streets, muck it.
