AQ in BB (PP 10/20)
Pretty sure I've got the best hand on the flop so I'm ch/r. YOu like it?

Re: AQ in BB (PP 10/20)
I think this line is fine, but you should be mixing it up with 3-betting from the bb. I think you have a lot more folding equity when you miss, but you're losing good value with what is likely the best hand pre-flop.

Re: AQ in BB (PP 10/20)
I usually 3bet this preflop and then lead the flop, thats a whole different story.
Reads would be nice. |

Re: AQ in BB (PP 10/20)
Why are you check/raising after CO calls the flop? I think a flop check/raise, turn bet semibluff doesn't work well against two players here. That is, unless you had good player reads on CO and MP.
I'm just calling the flop; usually folding the turn, sometimes calling. If MP bets again and CO folds, I'd probably call, thinking that MP is being aggressive and I have several clean outs. But if CO gets aggressive, fold. |

Re: AQ in BB (PP 10/20)
I think checkraising with a hand like this is okay, but I dont generally take this line. The problem with checkraising a villain is that you will get some people psychologically involved in the hand, or alternatively, they will peel a card and hit on 4th street. Even if they don't hit, because you're OOP, you'll need to consider whether to continuation bet on a blank, or whether you will check the turn (in which case you risk being pushed off the best hand). So for these reasons, if you have a moderately strong hand like AQo from the blind and are playing against a non-steal raiser, I think it is easier to three-bet preflop, and lead at the flop. Against a lot of opponents, you'll win on the flop. Note that I wouldnt three-bet against a larger field. A lot of the value from 3 betting AQ preflop from the blind is the implied steal equity you have on later streets.
