Re: 44
I've been raised in this exact situation many times by AK, AQ, AJ, even JT. Not saying that its correct, but I call down. I think you're up against big cards here and not a pair often enough to call down profitably.

[/ QUOTE ] yup. me too. if she has a Q or a 5 then too bad. letting go of it here (either PF or on the turn) is -EV because you WILL win enough of the time against this type of palyer. Some consideration should go to your recent image at the table. Even the retards remember when they folded you out of a hand with a bluff-raise so if this has happened recently then that makes calling-down on this one even better. Those retards love to bluff-raise with nothing A LOT. Makes them think they are good or something. |

Re: 44
Also, the more I think about it, the preflop 3-bet is to isolate someone who probably doesn't have a pair. You have a small edge preflop if he has 2 unpaired overcards. You have a big edge postflop if he misses the flop. The whole point of the isolation play is to get in this situation with the guy. It's 90+ % likely that this flop completely missed him.
If he has 2 big cards, you want to lead the turn, though, so he can't take a free card with overs. If he raises again, I think I would call, then check/call the river, because I have also been raised by big cards on the turn here. FWIW (probably not much), Jim |

Re: 44
For hand 2, I'd usually fold preflop, don't know if it's right or not. I'd definitely call down the turn raise versus this guy.

Re: 44
This woman is a maniac or just erratic? She 3-bet 95s UTG and open limps on the button. I might just call PF if I thought that she normally would raise the button. How well does she play post flop? In hand one she played fine post flop, except for perhaps, the river check and even that shows she's capable of rational thought.
