The answer to 99 out of 100 questions is Money. Pure and Simple. Most of you on here are talking about freedom.... well the only real way to be free is to have enough money where you never have to do anything you don't want to do..

[/ QUOTE ]

The purpose of life may not be money, still working it out.

I don't know how much money I would have to make to avoid going to my girlfriend's family functions.

Money = freedom, yet you must continue to work to maximize the money you make? I'm dumb I guess.

The answer to 99 out of 100 questions is Money. Pure and Simple. It's easy to talk about it not being a MAJOR DEAL or the MOST IMPORTANT thing in deciding a job, but it is. Anybody who has ever been seriously lacking $$ knows it sucks. Most of you on here are talking about freedom.... well the only real way to be free is to have enough money where you never have to do anything you don't want to do.. 99.5% aren't in a financial position where they can do whatever they want all the time...

I work at the job I do because it pays the rent and buys me stuff and is low stress. I could make more money, but I'd have to work harder and have more stress.

I play poker to have fun, I could make more money playing poker, but I play in a way (less often, less hours, less tables) that makes less, and I'm ok with that.

I don't want money. I want to be happy. If you need more money to get that way, then rock on, but I'm content financially with my middle class wage and tiny 3/6 bankroll.

I'm pretty damn sure I'm not alone here.

Tommy's post rules.

thats fine if you aren't movitated to be very successful and have a low tolerance for risk and dont' want to do much professionally with your life.... if that makes you happy fine.....

It's kind of funny how all the people who talk about not caring about $$ much are the same people who don't have any $$.... funny how that works...

How about your just too lazy or not smart enough, etc as an actual possibility why people aren't as successful...

I think Tommy didn't play in this game for one reason, and no one has even speculated on any reason.

Tommy is 100% anti-TiLT. This guy was trying to put Tommy on TiLT before he even sat down. Tommy was a: scared of TiLTing and b: wanted to show this guy who has control over Tommy's emotions.

Please keep your religious viewpoints in OOT... I would be utterly flamed if I started talking about my religious beliefs like this.

LOL. that's pretty funny.

I kinda figured he didn't play becuase he enjoys a nice friendly game, which this clearly was not. Tommy's a good guy. He gets an A+ from me.

As from me as well. I didn't mean for my post to sound derogatory, exactly the opposite.
