Who won the coin flips?(For home feild)
I especially wanted to know where the yankee-redsox 1-game playoff would be if they tied at the end of the season. (I'm a Mets fan, but I still want to know)

Re: Who won the coin flips?(For home feild)
Why can't they have a real tiebreaker starting with perhaps head to head record, then common opponents, then non-interleague, then run differential? Why have something that is both important and likely to happen be based on a coin?
For that matter, why even play an extra game. The extra game is a huge competitive disadvantage. Just settle it with the above tiebreakers. |

[/ QUOTE ] i tend to think this way too. if you play a team 19 times in the reg season and go 13-6 against them, you shouldn't be subjected to a one game playoff, because you have certainly pwned this team over the reg season. |

As for the venue of the game, I would prefer it if they would give the game to the team that had fewer head to head home games in the regular season. If the two teams are balanced on home and away games, then a coin toss is okay, but I think they should consider playing the game at a neutral site. |
