SPC - Different 99 from SB
The guy ahead of me raises a little light, but understands when to blind steal. The guy behind me very rarely cold-calls.
Party Poker 1/2 Hold'em (9 max, 9 handed) converter Preflop: Hero is SB with 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. 5 folds, CO raises, 1 fold, Hero 3-bets, BB calls, CO calls. Flop: (9 SB) T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players) Hero checks, intending to fold... This is standard? |

Re: SPC - Different 99 from SB
Very bad flop for you, check-fold is correct here yes.

Re: SPC - Different 99 from SB
I would be tempted to donk it up and bet, hoping that the board would be as scary to everyone else. But I think check/fold is right.

Re: SPC - Different 99 from SB
call me crazy, but since you displayed more strength preflop than him (ie, he didn't cap) I'm taking a stab at this pretty much every time.
On a flop this crappy, I'd bet/fold. Is this bad? I know it's player specific too, btw... I'm not making this play on a 50 wtsd guy. Anyways, bet and hope he either has only a gutshot or even better a smaller pp. But like I said, I'm not sure (I really suck hu) so please correct me if need be. |

Re: SPC - Different 99 from SB
I was actually just as concerned about the BB. He was quite tight (20ish VPIP) and I think this was the first time I saw him CC.
