No cats, no dogs, no birds, probably not fish. I'd prefer something somewhat quiet, yet entertaining with tons of bonus points if practically everyone who sees my pat has to ask what it is. I'd like to keep the final price tag under $1000 w. cage and everything included. Any ideas? [/ QUOTE ] Adopt a child from a third world country and then keep him in a cage. |

Lizard Dood
![]() He's a bit bigger now. Very friendly (to everyone but me, he wants to kill me). Get an orange one (more rare, a bit more $$). His colors are awesome when he lights up. |

Don't get a ferret. They smell horrible, even after you remove their scent glands. And they'll crap and piss in every corner of your house. [/ QUOTE ] Don't they bite like crazy too? |

You'll have to chop up dark leafy greens daily, but they are a lot of fun, very low work, beautiful, comparatively rare, and for under a g you can set them up appropriately.
Corucia Zebrata I gave mine up when I downsized my herp collection in anticipation of a move---they are in a zoo now, doing alright. I just kept my boids, which are incredibly low impact---a Sumatran short-tailed python, as an adult, needs to be fed about every 21 days, and defecates every-other-month or so. |
