8Jo from BB
This is actually a semi-crosspost from the micros, but I think it would be useful to appeal it in SS. I didn't play the original hand but I'm still confused what the best turn move is, given the previous action. Unfortunately, we have no reads from the OP. My apologies if this decision is trivial.

Re: 8Jo from BB
I can't imagine him checking the turn after a flop check/raise with a monster hand, he's losing too much value. If he check/raises again it's time to take a note on this guy. I think he's often on a draw here, probably something like T8 or QT. Bet - no free card for you.

Re: 8Jo from BB
I bet again. If SB is a player who loves to checkraise as often as possible when he has a strong hand, then that's how it goes.
If he checkraises on the turn, I wouldn't let him checkraise me again on the river, though. |

Re: 8Jo from BB
Hero bets. No free cards for someone who could just be getting facy with an oesd. I fold to a 2nd check-raise.

Re: 8Jo from BB
Muchas gracias mis amigos. Here's the original post.
The gyst of it is that Hero did lead the turn, was check-raised, and most of the posters were against the turn bet. I was still thinking I'd bet and wondered if a check was results-influenced. |

Re: 8Jo from BB
I probably would have played the hand like the original poster.
I don't really know how 0.5/1 plays, anymore, but at, say, 3/6, the second consecutive checkraise would make me suspect SB just had second pair or something and was trying really hard to get me to fold. I'd expect to lose, but I'd probably look him up. Partly I'd just want to know right now what my unknown opponent is playing this way. |
