JJ on A-high flop 100NL 6 max
Earlier tonight I read this post by DoomSlice where he advocates not to bet with a high pair on an A high flop ...
Later on, this hand came up: Pdise 100NL 6 max, 4 handed. Hero is BB J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]($96) Villain is UTG ($93) UTG raises $4, 2 folds, Hero raises $9, UTG calls Pot: $20.5 Flop: A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Hero ... Should bet? or shouldn´t bet? Or, should have never reraised with JJ out of position ? |

Re: JJ on A-high flop 100NL 6 max
I agree with meleader, you are almost definately behind on the flop here, and villain is unlikely to fold.
The idea of not betting on an A-high flop given in the other post is more suited to cases when you or the villain are very shortstacked, like one bet left. Ojo_Rojo |

Re: JJ on A-high flop 100NL 6 max
I would either reraise preflop to 15 or just call. Your minreraise is so obvious you have a big pair and lets villian see the flop cheaply with this information.
I would take one stab at the flop, and shutdown after that. Not sure if that's good advice or not though. |
