Re: Baccarat
[ QUOTE ]
Forget the mega-jackpots, the variance is too high. Take a slot like "Cherry Pie". Certain combinations would give you a cherry on a pie display. After a certain amount of cherries, you get a slice. Fill all the slices and you get about a $100 to $200 jackpot. So just stroll down the line of Cherry Pie machines and find one that someone has left with only 2 or 3 cherries left to go to fill the pie. $20 or $30 dollars later, Bingo! A $200 filled pie mini-jackpot. Rinse and repeat. Of course, Cherry Pie is now on it's third generation chip, the cherries are harder to get, and the pie jackpot is more variable and lower. Piggy Bankin' was another mini-progressive individual machine jackpot. BOOM! was a gold mine when you found one that someone had left with 45 firecrackers on it. These machines were slowly replaced or tightened up. Now slot idiot addicts seem to like the video game like features, and the little progressive machines have gone by the way side. [/ QUOTE ] ok, that was my guess on the slot strategy you were talking about. But i dont really see these type of slots often. The 3-card poker card exposure makes sense... but how often do dealers really do this? Im still wondering how you would gain an edge in big 6 though. I watched some people play for a while the last time i was vegas. One thing i considered while watching was to try to guess the speed/distance the dealer typically spins the wheel. This seemed impossible at the wynn though, since it spuns for such a long time, but at some other casinos the spin time was very short... I stood there and tryed to keep track for a few minutes... but then just gave up and went to play poker |

Re: Baccarat
If you designed slots you would know they will always take more then they put out. If you dont have luck you WONT win. Alot of theories show things that "could" be done. Doesnt mean they can and will work. Until you show proof that the machines can be beat then I will continue to state the facts.
And I was referring to your "calculated" theory. You are investing a lot of thought into a pointless investigation card counter- Those machines are long gone. Still interested in your Big 6 info though |

card counter- Those machines are long gone. Still interested in your Big 6 info though [/ QUOTE ] Yes, that is what I said. Those type of slots - that could be beat - are gone. That is why I posted about them. Doesn't mean tomorrow someone comes out with something similar that can be taken advantage of in the same way. Keep your eyes open, instead of chanting "slots can't be beat". Big 6 situations still exist, so scoff and laugh, and tell me about the huge house edge. When the house finally eliminates the possibility of beating it, I'll post and tell you how you could have done it. Re: Baccarat
[ QUOTE ]
Slots, Big 6 Wheel, 3 Card Poker are all games that can be very very profitable given the right situations and techniques. And the reason Baccarat isn't the stupidest is because there is Keno. [/ QUOTE ] American baccarat is not beatable unless the casino offers countable side bets. Card counting does not work in the basic baccarat game since the impact of even a freakish card distribution is so insignificant in changing the odds of banker versus player wins that it would not allow you to beat the game even under the best realistic conditions (e.g. 90% penetration and a 10:1 bet spread). Some European versions of baccarat give the player and banker some control over when to take a third card, and these can be beatable under the right conditions. In baccarat-en-banque, there are two player hands and one bank hand, and bettors can only bet on one or both of the player hands. Player hands have the option to hit or stand on 5, and the banker has complete freedom in playing his hand. In the best possible conditions a win rate of about 1.5% is possible. Baccarat chemin-du-fer allows one bettor to be the bank, lay out the amount he is willing to risk, and the other bettors bet on the player hand collectively up to that amount. One bettor can agree to match the banker's whole wager and then take control of the player hand. The banker pays a 5% commission to the house on his winnings. If the casino rules allow the player and banker to completely choose how they play the hand (at least in the case that there is only one player betting against the banker), then this variant can be beatable against an opponent who gives off tells, who is predictable or who is easily manipulated. |

Re: Baccarat
As I stated earlier -
[ QUOTE ] The progressive jackpot is essentially a parimutuel pool that the house has no interest in -- and it is being offered at fixed odds. [/ QUOTE ] If that doesn't make clear it up for you, I can't help you any further. Your statement, [ QUOTE ] If you dont have luck you WONT win. [/ QUOTE ] Convinces me you are in the correct profession. If you ever rise to the level of slot supervisor it will provide more evidence of the Peter Principle at work. |

You should consider changing your name from "cardcounter0" to "advantageplayer0". It seems to me that you've gone beyond counting.
