Funniest Played Hand?
What is the funniest played hand you have ever seen in your homegame?
This happened 2 nights ago in a 5 dollar buyin NLHE SNG. Blinds 50/100 Villian open limps in MP with J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] I call on Button with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] SB Calls BB Checks. Flop 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] SB Checks, BB Checks, Villain checks, I bet 200, blinds fold, he calls. Turn is 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] He bets 250. I call. River is Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] He checks, I bet 400, He calls. I show the A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], he goes "you got me on the river" then throws his cards into the muck. Someone asks him what he had and he reached into the muck and pulled out his cards and showed the table. I think everyone had a good laugh when he called a river bet and then folded a straight flush. Re: Funniest Played Hand?
Something similar happened in our game about a year ago and we still remind our friend about it.
Player "A" has A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Player "B" has 10 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]10 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Flop is 10 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]6 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] There is some betting and calling the turn is 8 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] more betting and calling. And all player "B" is thinking is no diamond no diamond as he was slow playing his trips. The river was the 10 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] and player "A" goes all in. Player be says the something like the one card I didn't want and folds but shows his fold. The table erupted when someone yelled out you had quads . Player "B" was so focused on his trap play that all he was trying to avoid was the diamond as he had correctly but player "B" on the flush draw. Last week when the player folded the trip tens in the WSOP we all called him to let him know that his four tens fold was still number one in the dumbest I mean funniest hand we ever saw. |

Re: Funniest Played Hand?
My favorite happened in a 3/6 game at the casino.
Six people see the hand to the flop. 9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Betting ensues. Three players remain. turn: 9 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] More betting. Three players remain. river: A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (9999A) Woman in 1st position bets 6, next player raises to 12, next player raises to 18... Woman in first position FOLDS BECAUSE SHE THOUGHT THE RE-RAISE MEANT SHE WAS BEAT! Raise to 24, call. Split pot with the quads and ace kicker. She said something about not having an ace in her hand so she knew she wasn't going to win...except that... |

Re: Funniest Played Hand?
There was a hand where I was up against "The Cable Guy". I was betting a set of 5's the whole way down. On the river 9 he calls my fairly small bet and turns over 78 for the rivered nut straight.
I say "Wow , you've got the abolute best hand possible" He replies very enthusiasticly , and with a big smile on his face - "I know, that's why I called" BTW , this is the same guy who took about 2 minutes to call an all in bet with quads. He wasn't trying to be a dick about it either. |

Re: Funniest Played Hand?
Anyone understand that fold with the set of 10s at the wsop?
Anyway... So this girl learns poker to get some ass, and basically remembers everything that is told to her by our group of friends, so she thinks she is good but she only knows what to do, not why. On a hand, there is a king exposed (becomes burn) and this girl is dealt KK. She raises, and folds to a medium strength reraise, all preflop. Reasoning being she was only half as likely to hit her set. Poor bastard. |

Re: Funniest Played Hand?
I played in a tourney at the Trop in AC and heard this one from a friend who was at the table.
A woman and man were in a hand together. The flop was J-8-4 rainbow and there was some betting and they were down to the two of them. The dealer says, "We're heads up." The woman flips her cards (4-8). The tournament director tells her to finish the hand and she'd have to sit out for 10 minutes for exposing her live hand. The turn is a blank, and she bets - he calls. The river is a blank, and she bets - he raises all-in, she calls. Any guesses what he had? Of course he had JJ. She got anted and blinded out during that 10 minutes. |
