Bonuswhoring Question....
Ok I was wondering what determines why different stake games make bonus whoring more lucrative? For instance on bonuswhores it displays a chart with the amount per hour you will get for clearing bonuses at a certain stake. But this doesn't add up because it says you must play a certain amount of raked hands and a raked hand is a raked hand regardless of the stake. So is their some type of multiplier I am not aware of or something?

Re: Bonuswhoring Question....
You might be better off in the bonuswhore forum, but I think the point is that it's easier to get a raked hand at some stakes than others. Not every hand will be raked.

Re: Bonuswhoring Question....
do you really think bonuswhores would bother to go through all that calculation work if it wasn't necessary? here are just a few of the factors to consider.
1. some limits are not raked at all, particularly nanolimits like 1c/2c and even 5c/10c. 2. most sites require at least a 25c rake ($5 pot) in order to count towards the bonus. if you play 25c/50c or 50c/$1 limits, some sites may have hand which are raked, but for less than 25c. some networks like Party/IGM and iPoker count ANY raked hand amount which is particularly good for $25NL players. but sites like Absolute, Prima and Paradise all have the 25c minimum rake requirement for bonus clearing. 3. then there are sites which require at least $1 of rake to count, so now the pot size has to be $20 or more. this is why playing 50c/$1 limits on Bet365 is viable, which it is completely futile on Poker Stars. then you also have issues like: - minimum BB's required to induce rake (this is why Party $1/2 clears faster than $2/4) - contributed rake bonuses (Bodog, IPN) - *proportional* contributed rake bonuses (Action Network, Tribeca) - fractional player points (Pokerroom, Ultimate Bet) - amount wagered/staked vs. amount raked (Pacific) - Dealt Hand bonuses, Hourly bonuses (Crypto skins) |
