villain is relatively unknown. he's been raising a bit much post flop and taking it down so he could be getting out of line but I don't have any solid proof. is this a standard fold with the call behind me?

Wow this spot sucks. Without Button in the hand I'd check behind and hope for a nice blank turn. Here I think you played it good. Even if he probably is out of line w/ A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] X you still can't call.
