Tight-weak pattern was emerging. I realize the first mistake is that I was in the hand to begin with, but what about my post-flop play? I made the flop raise to put him to the test, since his bet was pretty weak. My first notion was to raise $10, but I went with a pot-sized raise instead. I was ready to fold to any raise. On the turn, when the T came, I expected to much to any bet or check behind him. I figured he'd have a T if he checked, and a strong bet would mean something better than KJ, but he made a weak bet of 1/3 of the pot, so I called. I didn't want to raise for the possibility of him holding a monster. The river bet was again very weak. I expected to be shown either QJ, KJ, or 55. If he had AJ, I didn't know why he would bet so small on the flop, he wasn't going to chase the draw out. Should I have played it differently beyond the flop? Again, my intention was not to call the hand down, but his bets were so weak that I just couldn't fold. What should I be putting this guy on? |

Re: Trap hand from EP
So, any poker wisdoms on this one? Is it really that bad?
I looked over this again, and I still think the only really bad move was being in the hand from EP to begin with. |
