[ QUOTE ] Can roulette be beaten by pure visuals? [/ QUOTE ] I wouldn't completely dismiss it. I can think of musicians I've known who have an almost 6th sense of both time and sound -- I once worked with a guy who could open a chart and flawlessly sight read 64th notes on a violin. There is definitely a sound change as a balls speed decays -- I think the sound could be correlated to a speed, and if accurate enough -- the speed to a position on the wheel (I would test that first). Then you would have to take the current movement of the wheel -- which has virtually zero decay -- and predict its position at that future point in time. Those are the human senses I would look for. Sound and time -- more than visual. |
