the showdown... feedback needed
I was playing in a tournament yesterday (as in the other post). I played really well with a starting stack of 2000 i wound up with 6000 chips. I had hit a rough stretch in the game and had handed over about a thousand to another player over the last 10 hands. I get dealt J-J in a 3 handed game. I had 6000 my opponent had 7000. I raise 500, he reraises me a grand, I re-reraise 2 grand and he goes all in I call. He had Ace King and I flopped a set winning the hand and eventually the tournament. My question is, was I stupid? I've been wondering if it was wise to bet my entire tournament life on what I knew to be a coin flip or worse. What should I have done under the circumstances? I know you shouldn't second guess a win, but I think it could have been better played.
