Poll for Online Players: Record-keeping
I've been a little surprised by the number of posts lately in which players obviously keep no record of their play. I thought I'd throw this poll out to see if it's as prevelant as it seems...

Re: Poll for Online Players: Record-keeping
I know keeping records is important. But with the advent of pokertracker, what would you want ot keep a record of that isn't already there?

Re: Poll for Online Players: Record-keeping
On top of PT I keep a spreadsheet with day-to-day stats from playing: time played, bankroll, bankroll -/+, overall # hands/session, hands/hr., # of hands overall, bonuses, RB... fwiw I condense my weekly stats for purposes of monitoring progression/digression But mostly just to keep myself accountable for the # of hands I'm getting in every week.

Re: Poll for Online Players: Record-keeping
i use poker tracker to track the hands, and every time I deposit or cash out at a site I track where my money is moving around (and associated earnings/losses) using quicken.

Re: Poll for Online Players: Record-keeping
PokerTracker gives me an estimate, but it doesn't account for everything since I play at some non-PT supported sites, and sometimes I miss blocks of hand histories from Absolute (or UltimateBet if I forget to start up the handgrabber). So my primary record is just a spreadsheet tracking all deposits to sites and withdrawals to Neteller. I also keep track of all rakeback payments and all the bonus money I've cleared. That's enough to give me an accurate count of actual poker winnings.

Re: Poll for Online Players: Record-keeping
I do the same thing. I track pretty much everything in Poker Tracker. I also track rakeback and bonus money. You can see it here:
The numbers about winnings on the left are directly from poker tracker. However, you can see about a $1000 difference between my total PT winnings, bonuses, and rakeback and what I have actually made which is located on the right. Only about $100 could be accounted towards tournament entries, so I don't think PT is entirely accurate when reporting winnings. |

Wow. Are you just running good in July, or did you move up in limits? That's a pretty big jump from the other months.

Would you mind attaching a copy. Thx. |
