Poker on Canadian Side of Niagata Falls
I'll be going to Niagara Falls and staying at the Niagara Fallsview Resort and casino for 3 days.
How is the poker room in that casino? Any tournaments there?(buy ins etc)? Should I consider going to Casino Niagara instead to play poker? If anyone wants to just tell about playing experiences up there, thats appreciated to.. I'm looking to play NL 1/2 and 2/5. My wife will be playing 2/4. Thanks |

The search function is a great tool.
That said, get on the waiting list EARLY, especially on the weekend. Waits can be 4-5 hours long. Fallsview is the "high limit" poker room in Niagara, while Casino Niagara has the lower limits. I think 5/5 NL is the smallest NL game at Fallsview and 4/8 limit is their smallest limit game. Casino Niagara has 1/2 NL and 2/4 limit. No tournaments at both casinos as far as I know... Good Luck. |

Re: Poker on Canadian Side of Niagata Falls
Something else that should be said about the Canadian casinos: the poker rooms there close every night! (I believe 2am, maybe 3am?) Seneca Niagara Casino on the NY side might be your best bet... A lot of 1-2nl games and 2-4 limit. Like mentioned above, Fallsview spreads all higher limit games. Casino Niagara and Seneca are almost identical with what they spread.

They close at 4:30am, open at noon... But the last few times I've been to both Fallsview and Casino Niagara, they didn't shut down on Friday and Saturday.

As stated previously, get there early. Also when I was there the last time you could get one priority seating per day if you were staying at Fallsview. I have no idea if you can still do this, they might have stopped.
Either way, I still prefer Senaca over Fallsview anyday. |
