Default 1/2 KK

hey guys. first post, im going to give this a shot. hope this hand isn't too lame.

1/2 NL $100 max, seneca niagara
this is my fourth hand at the table. i of course have $100. villian has about $275, two stacks with a couple greens on top. i just sat down, no reads on this villian, the dealer blocks my view (he is in seat 1, i am in seat 9)

i am UTG with KdKc and raise to $8
Villian reraises to $20
i call

flop Q93 all diamonds. check, check.
turn is a blank, i bet $40, call
river As, check check.

horrible? if i put him on AA or QQ can i bet this flop? what's my line if the river is the 2c? thanks guys.

why would you bet if he knew he had overpair AA or set of queens?

why not just move in preflop, otherwise you should bet the flop and be ready to get it all in there.

thanks dudes. thought process...

preflop - i'm pretty sure at this game that a reraise like that is AA, KK, QQ, JJ, or AK, and i wanted to maximize set value if he had AA or AK.

on the flop - with AA and QQ possible hands for villian and me out of position and holding the Kd i wanted to see villian's action as opposed to getting raised and having to most likely fold to an unknown.

the turn - maybe i can bet him off AA if he fears a set of queens/AdKd flopped flush?

river - im pretty much screwed, so i checked. he had AdTc and won.

i hate to be results oriented but i've never seen a raise like that with such a marginal hand, from a quiet player (hadn't said a word since i got there and maybe three all night). so should i be more agressive on this flop more of the time? how many times am i dominated by overpair, set, or flopped flush with AdJd or something? does this make up for the amount of times it's just some dude making a move?
