Party Poker 1/2 Hold'em (10 handed) converter
No notes on opponents. In four or five orbits nothing special at this table. Comments on all streets needed? Am I getting better at spewing chips? Re: QTo from the SB.
I would not lead off the flop with middle pair + gutshot into a bunch of opponents. You'll have the right odds to call a bet, but I don't think you have the equity to bet yourself.
I don't understand what you were trying to accomplish on the river. |

This looks like a good situation for it. I don't know what you're trying to do on the river, but I'd be floored if you actually got everyone to fold. |

I don't understand what you were trying to accomplish on the river. [/ QUOTE ] On the river... I may have the best hand. I played the hand like a flush draw. I decided to call a bet, so why not bet out and fold to a raise? I suppose the chance they both fold is minute. Is there a chance it checks through and I save a bet? |

Re: QTo from the SB.
Check the flop and look to CR. Betting out gives 7:1 pot odds and anyone holding anything is almost correct to call.
Turn is what I'd do looking to hit my Q/T or J. River is a check/fold. With three others still in the hand and calling down, 2nd pair can't be good enough times to make this a profitable call on this board. A weak K can beat you and someone is drawing to the flush. |

Re: QTo from the SB.
Donīt like the flop bet, since you out of position. It might get raised by someone with a pair of kings and i surely wonīt blow anyone out with a queen, most likely with a better kicker than yours. Neither anyone with a straight or flush draw.
I would fold on the turn. You might complete your straight on the river, but all hearts are dirty. The tens are also really dirty since the could give someone a straight. Furthermore you are likely to be behind if a non-usable cards falls... Canīt se the idea behind the river bet?? - A n00bīs perspective /Torben |

Re: QTo from the SB.
What do you generally do if someone else bets. I'm sure it's board/read dependent, but let's take this board. Someone to your immediate left bets, everyone calls. Hero?
Someone to your immediate left bets, no one calls, Hero? Just trying to get an idea of what the backup plan typically is here. |

Someone to your immediate left bets, everyone calls. Hero? [/ QUOTE ] I would usually call this. It's possible that you have the best hand, but if not a jack or queen will often give you the best hand. Raising will not eliminate players so I think calling is better here, especially since you are closing the action. [ QUOTE ] Someone to your immediate left bets, no one calls, Hero? [/ QUOTE ] This one is a bit read dependent. Players will often bet here with a draw particularly where there are straight and flush draws available. I would probably raise and lead the turn. Calling and check/folding the turn would also be a decent way to play it, especially if the player is somewhat passive. |
