Re: Big blind 10/20 Party
I think you have a max of 9 outs more often than not.

How would you have played it?

Re: Big blind 10/20 Party
the call on the end is bad. real bad. you are usualyl losing to a set or a straight in this unraised pot and therefore have 9 outs and are not getting odds to call. if you're lucky he has top and bottom and you have 11 outs, but that's unlikely. the best scenario is he has overcards and a flush draw, which you're coinflipping with. i don't like the flop raise because it's exactly what we've been talking about here where its that awkward situation OOP where if he calls and turn blanks you're stuck... so um i would lead out and plan to go all in if you get raised, but the way you played it you definitely have to fold to his all in since best case you have 9 clean outs but he could very well have a set leaving you even fewer outs when you count redraws.

Re: Big blind 10/20 Party
Don't know about this one. Usually when you get this level of action here you're either against a set, some wacky two pair hand or a better draw. With CO calling I would be worried that my flush draw might not be good there in a first place. Your best bet is to hope that he has two big spades, like A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]-J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. I would fold after the initial $100 bet and call from CO.

Whatcha think? JKratzer [/ QUOTE ] i agree with fslexduck and zerohour...unraised pot lot of action just dump it. i guess there could be a case made for leading and pushing a raise but i think it would have to include a STRONG read on the player, one in which villain is folding a large percentage of the time. In an unraised pot everyone has tried to flop the nuts for free .....pushing people off the nuts to win small unraised pots unprofitable it is. |

UTG had JJ and I took it when the river was a 5.

Re: Big blind 10/20 Party
you divide your outs by 4.5 to account for set redraws then the price isn't right... even if it MIGHT be 9 outs, neutral EV sucks.

I mean what does he expect someone to be calling with here? He had a premium hand and let the table take a shot at it for free and then backed it with his stack...talk about implied odds. Add this guy to the buddy list and get in every pot he is in. |
