so the only real valuable threads are the ones where everyone agrees and they dont state different views on how to play it?
that's a good one. i think a thread that generates this much discussion has lots of value. it makes you think about your play more. much more than a typical 'i played the nuts ABC style' threads where everyone agrees. how boring are those... ciao b |

The CO (cutoff) is the seat directly to the right of the button.

I've been lurking all week. Finally this rain has stopped construction for a day and I'm in the office, this is a monster thread with a double-Clarkmeister post, so I can only assume he's dropping science like Galileo, therefore, I'll blindly drop a hay-penny and go on to learn something.
Pre-Flop: This is a 'sometimes' play for me, I would put the first limper on something like QJo and limp 60% here, depending on the quality of the 3 players behind me, so I'm down. Ok, a raise, bigger over cards, maybe a bigger pocket pair, we'll see. Flop: Check-ok. I wouldn't check-raise, I may bet out to see look for information on the cheaper-street. The Pre-flop raiser is on 'auto-bet' here, could be overcards could be pocket pair. (I call any-check-to previous raiser an 'auto-better', I know this was online where you actually can 'auto-bet' but in B&M I see 'auto-bets' all the time) Turn: Well, now you looking for information and you got it, I think your bet and the calls tells you that you are ahead. River: why stop now, good bet. Now on to see how 70% of the 'active-posters' played this, I see vehn in here too...but a double-Clarkmeister, wow, nice post! |

These sound like rap lyrics or something, are they? Forgive my ignorance, I'm not with it. I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was...now what's it is strange and scary. -- Homer |

I think it's on the Beastie Boys, 'Paul's Boutique' (the greatest rap album of all-time, mind you) where one of them says, 'Dropping science like Gallileo dropped the Orange!' but I'm not sure, it's old school, I'm old shcool. As for the 'blindly dropping the hay-penny', that's me, when I have too much coffee, I blurt out random things. Peace, JT
