How do you play a hand like this? JTo in the BB, 3 limpers.
Do you bet the flop? (I hate betting hands like this OOP.)
I always seem to be scratching my head when I hit a tiny piece of the flop from the BB. ***** Hand History for Game 2281694096 ***** NL Hold'em $20 Buy-in + $2 Entry Fee Trny:13504771 Level:3 Blinds(25/50) - Wednesday, June 29, 10:18:12 EDT 2005 Table Table 13853 (Real Money) Seat 4 is the button Total number of players : 8 Seat 1: DON_MELCHOR ( $1823 ) Seat 4: neilke ( $923 ) Seat 9: jimmya111 ( $1600 ) Seat 8: xyrophobe ( $955 ) Seat 7: Rontti ( $1264 ) Seat 10: WWGURU ( $464 ) Seat 3: TILTilating ( $399 ) Seat 2: iolodavanki ( $572 ) Trny:13504771 Level:3 Blinds(25/50) ** Dealing down cards ** Dealt to xyrophobe [ Js Th ] jimmya111 calls [50]. Edit: misread the OP, thought he was the shortstack. I don't mind the fold.

Fold. Lot's of hand's that people could limp here and have you beat.

Re: How do you play a hand like this? JTo in the BB, 3 limpers.
Check-folding works, it's early enough in the tourney that you don't have to risk chips here on a draw-heavy flop with four players. Pick a better spot.
Conversely, you could make a pot-sized bet - especially if your opponents are passive or you've been showing down strong hands. You can feel better about getting away from it if raised and probably if called depending on the action. - Jim |

Someone's been up all night multi-tabling here... My mistake.

Re: How do you play a hand like this? JTo in the BB, 3 limpers.
I probably bet 150, fold to a raise, then (if called) c/f a turn that doesn't help me.
I'm kinda laggy in general though. edit: i wanted to edit this and say that I'm torn between c/f a blank turn, or pushing a blank turn. I feel like I'd be raised by KT or AT here, but I would (obviously) be drawing dead to someone that flopped a set and was smoothcalling to trap. But I think that's playing a bit scared. But I'm pretty sure I'd bet out on the flop and fold to a raise. I just can't decide what to do if I'm called on the flop. |

Perfect.
The river is a LONG way away if you bet this flop and get called OOP. |

I like your line. Your edge was not very significant, save your chips for when the blinds get bigger.
