QQ: Play-Along Street-by-Street
Reads:
Maniac - Constantly bluffing with nothing hands (no-pair/no-draw). He's not afraid to make it 4-bets on any street with 72o on a broadway board. I haven't seen him show down any monsters but, I've seen many failed bluff attempts. SLA-A - Pretty loose; likes to cold-call; I've noticed (over about 80 hands) he was aggressive/straight-forward with made hands. Rest of the flop players: Typical LP 2/4 opponents - nothing exceptionally noticable about anyone. Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (8 handed) converter Preflop: Hero is BB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. UTG calls, UTG+1 calls, MP1 (Maniac (39/15/3)) raises, MP2 calls, 2 folds, SB (SLA-A (26/6.5/1.8)) calls, Hero 3-bets, UTG folds, UTG+1 calls, MP1 (Maniac (39/15/3)) caps, MP2 calls, SB (SLA-A (26/6.5/1.8)) calls, Hero calls, UTG+1 calls. Re: QQ: Play-Along Street-by-Street
As I read it, you have one player in between you and the maniac. I would lead out and hope he raises to clear the field.
I'll repeat the process on the turn, but I'll wait until we get there. |

Re: QQ: Play-Along Street-by-Street
you have to bet hoping/knowing maniac will raise pretty much any of his holdings trying to drive out SB and others. Once heads up you probably have the best hand. Proceed to extract maximum value.

Bet. [/ QUOTE ] OK. OK. OK. I'll Bet! UTG+1 is a FISH (66/1.4/.3) any chance a 3-bet gets him to fold here? Any chance a 3-bet is for value as well? |

Re: QQ: Play-Along Street-by-Street
3 bet the flop. anything that you can do here to increase your equity is good. make it look like a raising war. hopefully UTG1 has a read on maniac (same as you) that maniac will surely cap.
if utg1 chooses to continue... well, then you've done all that you can do for now |

Re: QQ: Play-Along Street-by-Street
I 3-bet. Hopefully one or both of the others will drop out if not to the flop cap to the turn raise. If they're still in there I'm slowing down then. If they get out and he's truly a maniac I'm going 4-bets on all streets. If he's not a complete maniac I may slow down anyway.
