Flop: (2 SB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, BB checks.

Turn: (1 BB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets, BB calls.

Please do not post results. Some will look before responding and you will not get unbiased information.

The short answer is yes. This is not a hand that should complete the small blind.

If you are looking to steal, you need to raise. Then show aggression on the flop, before he can make a draw.

Finally, when you are shown aggression on the river, you have to consider giving it up, FIMO!

IF I simply completed I would have played it the same way and made a crying call on the river. I think it would of been better if you would have raised or folded pre-flop however.

Bet the flop. This only needs to be successful 1 out of 5 times to break even, and it's sure to do better than that against most players. You can't fold the river unless you know the player very well.
