Rockford WSOP satellite
I'll be at the Rockford Charitable Games WSOP satellite this Friday and had a few questions:
-- From the pics on the website, it looks like 11 or 12(!) at a table...is that right? If so, how does that change strategy....I assume I'll have to really tighten up early. -- only 1500 chips to start with blinds at 25/50 and 15 minute levels....ouch. take small edges early? -- there is one rebuy if you have 500 chips or less in the first hour, and one add-on after the first hour. how does that affect strategy? -- was anyone at the previous one a couple of weeks ago? -- will anyone be there this week? |

Re: Rockford WSOP satellite
I've played in a similar structure where the blinds go up real fast. It's basically push or fold poker after the first hour. Try and be the pusher rather then the caller, but let's face it, you are going to have to take some coinflips and win them, there just isn't enough play to patiently look for a big edge.
